HATTIESBURG, MS – The Alcorn School District is celebrating a remarkable achievement as students from two of its high schools, Alcorn Central High School (ACHS) and Kossuth High School (KHS), demonstrated excellence at the Mississippi Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference. Held at the University of Southern Mississippi, the conference showcased the talent, dedication, and leadership of students from across the state, with Alcorn School District students securing multiple top-five finishes and an impressive 27 national qualifications.

A total of 27 students from our district earned the opportunity to compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Anaheim, California, this June by placing in the top four of their respective events. Among the notable achievements:

Gracey Viola (ACHS) was named Most Outstanding Student by the FBLA Professional Division.
Julia Davis (ACHS) and Alexandria Houston (KHS) received the FBLA Who’s Who award, recognizing their exceptional dedication to the organization.
Kate McCormack (KHS) and Emma Crabb (KHS) concluded their terms as Northern District Vice President and State Secretary, respectively, after serving as strong advocates for their peers and representing their schools with distinction.
State Officers Luke Baswell (ACHS) and Alice Brose (ACHS) also completed their leadership terms, leaving behind a legacy of service and excellence.
