Testing pressure for our students can be lessened if they have a fully charged iPad when they arrive - Please help us at home these next few days to lighten the load on students and teachers by making sure they are charged overnight - WE ARE AC!

Needless to say, there is plenty to get done between now & May 20th! - Keep pushing your/our students to be their best! Rewards Letters are coming (or have been sent) home to encourage our students to be & do their best on our upcoming State Tests. Please read the letters carefully & encourage students at home also. - There will be rewards for consistent effort this school year AND for performance in August. Scores aren't announced until July. We are so glad teachers & students are getting a chance to finish well & enjoy some time away from school (if rewarded). Positive teacher/student relationships are at the core of what we want ACMS to be! This will be a great time to build on that core belief. Next week starts the required state tests that the ACMS students have been studying for all year. Please take time to jot down your student’s test days to make sure they are prepared to do their very best on those days. They need adequate rest the night before and encouragement. Practice reading, math problems/formulas, scientific terms, and generally going through binders and iPads to review necessary test material. This will give your student an “I can do this” attitude and ease test anxiety. May God bless them all! Go Bears!!💜💛

Four Alcorn Central archers earned All-State honors this year for their performance at North Half and had the opportunity to shoot with all of the other All State archers today in Jackson. These AC archers are Lorien Gray, Ryder Harvell, Ivy Mirabella and Maura Rorie! #weareAC

The ACMS Art department would like applaud all of its many artists. This week’s activities ranged from custom color by number, one-point perspective, to continued work on the basketball mural. Great things are happening at AC! 👨‍🎨

ACMS Pride and Celebration on full display! - Our St. Jude Fundraiser is still going strong. We have a few boxes of pretzel sticks left! We will finish up by Wednesday of next week! - Our Courage Awards & Recognition of Emergency Service workers from our community was a big success. THANKS to all who serve! WE ARE AC!

Yesterday, our student government and administration recognized the public service heroes in our community. Alongside our heroes, some of our 7th and 8th grade students were selected for exemplifying courage. 💜💛

The Year is quickly coming to an end but there is still much to be accomplished. Academic Awards, Sports Tryouts, End-of-Year Testing...we got this! A few reminders! - iPads charged & Pencils needed! - Respect Always! - Warmer weather & kids have grown so shorts may fit differently! - Rips/Tears...Seeing skin above knee means leggings underneath! DRESS CODE INPUT- Please make plans to attend a Community Handbook Meeting on April 19th at the District Office. We need your input! PERSEVERANCE is a willingness and ability to keep going when things are tough! We will learn much about this at school this month...and in life! WE ARE AC! Persevering!!
