ACMS Car Riders!
If you have an elementary sibling, you may be dropped off at Alcorn Central Elementary School and walk the sidewalk to the Middle School. Plenty of teachers will be there to guide you and ensure your safety.

If you have a high school sibling and prefer to be dropped off at the Bear in front of the ACHS Gym, you may do so as well.

Thank you for working with us as we learn together, lead responsibly, and continue building excellence in all areas of AC!

Morning Drop-Off Update – Begins Tomorrow (8/11)

Starting tomorrow, all school buses will stage in a new area before unloading, slightly changing the morning traffic pattern. Please review the diagram to see how this may affect your commute.

- Bus Staging: Buses will line up along the right side of the paved entrance/exit to the ACHS Baseball Field. The left side will remain open for ACMS car line exit traffic.

- No Parking Zone: Painted spaces between the ACMS car line entrance and exit must remain clear for buses to merge safely without blocking traffic.

- ACES Car Line will remain in the gravel road area, stacked into three lines. Pull forward to close gaps, keep lines short, and zipper merge smoothly into the drop-off lane.

- Traffic Attendant: Follow all directions at the ACES/ACMS/bus crossing intersection to prevent confusion or accidents.

Please stay alert, follow posted directions, and drive with extra caution. Student safety is our top priority.

ACMS Proficiency Sports Passes
ACMS is proud to provide Proficiency Sports Passes for this year’s students in grades 5–8 who scored Proficient on last year’s State Tests.

These passes will allow students free entry to Middle School games only (not valid for High School games).

Passes will be sent home with students on Monday—I’ll send a reminder that afternoon so you know to look for it.

We hope this will help boost attendance at our games and also save families some money!

📣 ACMS Parents – Important Transportation Reminder
For safety reasons, please notify Mrs. Cindy by 2:00 PM of any changes in your child’s afternoon transportation.

We’ve had several students show up at buses with phones in hand saying they can call home for permission. This is not allowed. Help us keep everyone safe by discussing this expectation at home.

🚫 No changes will be accepted after 2:00 PM unless it’s an emergency.

Thank you for your cooperation and support!

📣 ACMS Parents – Dress Code Communication

Over the first few days of school, we've been educating our students on the expectations at ACMS and why they matter. Students have asked great questions, and we’re proud of how well these conversations have been received.
Click link for the talk notes: https://bit.ly/3UKiJ4i

Today, we made a specific announcement regarding our dress code, and we want to be transparent by sharing exactly what was discussed.

🔸 Dress Code Clarification:
The wording in our dress code policy states: “Leggings, jeggings, or form-fitting pants may only be worn with clothing that provides proper coverage.”

Proper coverage means:
- Fully covering both the front and back
- Not tucking in the front of shirts or tops

We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a respectful and distraction-free learning environment. These conversations are part of our commitment to:
✨ Learning Together. Leading Responsibly. Building Excellence.
