Eleven students from the Alcorn Career and Technology Center participated in Signing Day for the Gateway Program last week. Gateway is a program funded by The Three Rivers Planning and Development District. This program provides an opportunity for eligible students to receive paid work experience in the fields of advanced manufacturing, IT, logistics/transportation and healthcare. The Alliance helped to partner four of our local industries -- Caterpillar, Coca-Cola, Timber Products and StoneRidge of Farmington -- to host the students.
