Mrs. Tila Johnson's Health Sciences classes have been busy second quarter. Students recently studied about emergency services and took a tour to visit two vital services in our community. Health Sciences students teamed up with Mr. Brinkley's Law and Public Safety classes and went to visit Magnolia Regional Health Services ambulance service and the Air Evac helicopter services. Here they learned about the fast paced decisions that professionals in these fields make each day to help save lives.
Health Science students also went on to participate in the Mississippi State Department of Health's state wide disaster drill held at the Crossroads Arena. Here students learned what steps would be in place should the area be part of a state wide disaster scenerio.
Students were able to visit a Magnolia Funeral Home this quarter as well. Here they learned about the burial and memorial processes available for families whose loved ones have passed away.
