The Alcorn Career and Technology Center (ACTC) recently welcomed 9th-grade students from Alcorn Central, Biggersville, and Kossuth High School as part of the Exploring Careers class. Students toured all 14 CTE programs offered at ACTC, gaining valuable insight into the opportunities available to them.
During the visit, students explored each program’s classroom and shop, watched current students in action working on projects, and met with instructors. They were also able to ask questions and learn firsthand about the skills and career paths each program offers.
The event aimed to introduce students to the diverse career pathways ACTC provides and help them begin planning for their future. “We hope the students left inspired and excited about the possibilities ahead,” said Sarah Harris, Student Services Coordinator.
ACTC is already looking forward to 2025 and next semester’s tour groups, continuing its mission to shape the future workforce of our community.
