WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER A SUMMER JOB:
Summer break is among us. How will you spend your summer break? It is important for students to know the significance of having a summer job. By working during the summer, high school students are able to engage in hands-on learning, as well as growing skill sets that may be used throughout life. From simply being on time to working as a team, it is important to learn the soft skills utilized in the workplace. Students also receive opportunities to further their education while working towards a strong career goal!
If you're an upcoming junior or senior or a recent 2021 high school graduate, and you're interested in a summer position that might lead to greater opportunity, please make it a point to reach out to me. THE ONE WHERE LIONS BECOME TIGERS!
It was an honor to take 25 Biggersville High School seniors to tour the beautiful campus of Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC). While on campus, students learned about the different programs available on campus, the importance of completing a FAFSA application, student success center, health science programs, and so much more. A few of the BHS seniors were able to work hands-on in the welding lab, as well as the Tool and Die classroom.

If you are planning to attend NEMCC in the fall, please take the time to complete the NEMCC Tuition Guarantee Application. Students will also need to complete their FAFSA and MTAG application to receive the tuition guarantee scholarship.
