If you have not gotten a Daily Corinthian yet, you need to go out a buy one today! KES is on the FRONT PAGE. We are doing amazing things here at KES! Our teachers and staff have worked so hard to make coming to school a truly magical place for the students this holiday season! We are so honored that the Daily Corinthian came out to view our hard work and has shared it with our community. Don't forget tomorrow is pictures with Santa and a public viewing of our hallways. Also, for a small donation, you can vote for your favorite hallway. We are so excited to see you!

Our great leaders are always ready to step in when needed! Even if that means filling in when they are short-staffed in the lunchroom. We sure are thankful for Ms. Jamie, Ms. Nikki, and all the cafeteria staff.

As KES celebrates Veterans Day, the 3rd grade students had a special guest speaker come talk to them. They have been working very hard to learn their songs and special parts in their Veterans Day Program. What better way to conclude their hard work than a visit from an actual veteran. Major General John Rhodes came to talk with the students about Veterans Day, our American flag, and what a veteran is. He also had an open floor for any questions the students may have had. We really appreciate his kindness to take his time with our students. Major General John Rhodes is the husband of one of our 3rd grade teachers, Mrs. Debbie Rhodes.

We are so proud of our Music Makers for performing with the other choirs from our district in a collaborative effort to express their gratitude and to honor the veterans of our nation. Waldron Street Christian Church was gracious enough to host this event for our district.

Our 3rd graders, Music Makers, and Mrs. Nancy Harvell did a wonderful job saluting our veterans during their Veterans Day Program. We thank all those that came out to watch the performance.

This month our CKH word of focus is TEAMWORK! Teamwork is the ability to work in unity with others towards a common goal. For us to learn how to become team players, it is important that we learn to listen, encourage our peers, and allow and invite others to contribute their talents and skills.
Check out the awesome things going on at KES for the month of November!

Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life. It presents an opportunity for parents, educators, and communities to reinforce the drug-free messages they share with their children throughout the year. Students are welcome to dress up with the theme of each day.
Tomorrow, all KES students will attend the homecoming parade at 1:30. At the conclusion of the parade, we will walk to the football field, for the pep rally. There will not be any checkouts after 1:15. Go Aggies!
