Last week, the ACHS chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America traveled to Jackson, MS and competed in the State Leadership Conference. A total of 17 students participated in the conference and all students received a top five placement in their respective event. All students that place in the top four qualify to attend the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA during the end of June. Sixteen of the seventeen students earned a qualifying spot and will have the chance to advance to the national competing level.
Coach Mask and Mrs. Arnold are extremely proud of the performances of each and every student. ACHS had one of the highest percentage of medal recipients of the 50 plus chapters that were represented. A few highlights of the event include ACHS junior Talia Whitley giving her retiring address as North District FBLA Vice President, ACHS seniors Reed Roberson & Sydney Bryant singing the national anthem, Coach Mask & Mrs. Arnold dj-ing the FBLA dance, and ACHS sophomore Aidan Anderson for getting elected as MS FBLA State President for the upcoming school year.
