Members of the Alcorn Central FFA just returned from a trip to the Mississippi State Capitol.
Students traveled to Jackson this past week to participate in the Mississippi Future Farmers of America Legislative Breakfast. This is a statewide event hosted by the members of the Mississippi Senate and House of Representatives. The participants got to meet their local legislators as well as key members of the Agriculture Committee. All in all, it was a great experience for each student.
Those in attendance were Sara Ellsworth, Caitlyn Jones, Taylor Kennedy, Tatum Lancaster, Katelyn Vaughn, Kaylin Roach, Lexi White, and Reed Roberson. These students were accompanied by FFA Chapter Adviser Brandon Derrick and Student Teacher Warren Perry.
