As the arrival of students quickly approaches, we want to reflect on a few things and show appreciation to a few folks.
We are very excited to welcome our returning students back and to have our new students join us. Several changes have happened over the summer. We have welcomed seven new teachers aboard and saw returning teachers move classrooms and subject areas. Some of our classrooms got some new paint on the walls, we have hung new ACT 25+ banners, made upgrades in the auditorium, new drainage system in breezeway, and are working on continuing to improve our school safety and security. All of these things were done with the students in mind. We want to provide the best learning environment possible to our students and continue to support their success!
There are so many people who have come together to make these projects possible. We want to say a very special thanks to our maintenance staff for putting in so much time and effort to improving our facilities. Our custodians have worked very diligently the last few weeks to prep classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas to welcome students on Wednesday. Our wonderful office staff has put in countless hours this summer to ensure all student information and data is collected and put in to motion for the new school year. Our teachers and support staff have attended trainings and workshops this summer to continually sharpen their skills and grow their ability to reach students. Our administration has planned so diligently to make sure all plans go accordingly to ensure a smooth start to the year.
Not to leave any out, we are so thankful for the work our lovely cafeteria ladies will put in for the coming days by preparing and serving meals to any student in need. We are also very thankful for our bus drivers and the time they spend making sure our students arrive at school and home safely each day.
All of these people have a mind and heart for our students and that is what makes ACHS so great.
Thank you for entrusting your students to ACHS. This is OUR school. We are proud to serve this community. Let’s continue to work together in making this school year the best ever!
