We are very excited to be welcoming several new faces to Alcorn Central this year. The Golden Bear Family is growing, and we are happy to share with you all of our new additions!
We are very excited to welcome Adam Stanfield to the Golden Bear family as one of our new teachers!
Adam Stanfield is a graduate of Belmont High School. After leaving Tishomingo County, he attended Itawamba Community College and the University of Mississippi graduating with a Bachelor of Biology. Once he completed his degree, he remained in Oxford for a short period working with a retail banking company. While there, he made the decision to become an educator. He enrolled and completed the Teach Mississippi Institute and was awarded endorsements in Biology, English, and Special Education. Stanfield served as a substitute teacher in Tishomingo County last year and began to see his passion for education grow.
Stanfield wanted to continue the journey of making a difference in the lives of students just as he saw growing up. He said, “The reason I wanted to make a career in education was so that I can help make a difference in kids' lives, like my teachers did for me. As someone who grew up in a teacher household, I was taught the importance of a quality education and how the relationships and skills that you build in school will help guide your life when you graduate.” He went on to say that he is looking forward to becoming a member of the Golden Bear family and is excited to get to know everyone here. His main goal as a teacher at ACHS is to form lasting relationships and solid trust with his students and fellow teachers.
Welcome Mr. Stanfield! The Alcorn Central Golden Bear Family is proud to have you as a part of our spectacular team!!
