Join us for the ACHS Most Beautiful event coming up in February. Girls interested in participating should see Mrs. Glidewell!
Reminder: Students who are enrolled in the seated College Algebra class through Northeast, you will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:45 - 9:00. The class starts this Monday, January 8 at the Extension Center on Harper Road.

Our 17th Annual Peggy Bain Holiday Hoops Tournament Schedule is now posted
For tomorrow’s game against Kossuth, student tickets will be sold through 3:00 Thursday for $3. Students have to come to the office to purchase a ticket. The first 24 high school students will get a free slice of pizza, and the student section theme is Christmas. Come out and support your Lady Bears and Golden Bears! #weareAC
Congratulations to Alice Brose and Dylan Gofourth who participated in the Mississippi State Band Clinic this past weekend.
Alice received 1st chair French horn in Blue Band and Dylan received 5th chair trumpet in White Band. Alice also received the honor of being one of only two students in her band chosen by her clinician for a scholarship!
We are so proud to have these two students representing the Pride of AC!
Important Upcoming Dates for Senior Beta Club Members
This week Mrs Williams Theatre Class had a little contest between students. Students were allowed to use wrapping paper, scissors, tape, egg cartons and trash bags to create the best costume. Here are there outfits. Resident of Whoville, Fashion Model, Ninja, Royalty, Buddy the Elf and The Snowman
The Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy participated in Do Good December! Students brought in items for foster care packages and donated them to our local police stations. We're proud that SRO Bullard, Deputy Mayhall, and Officer Dalton were on campus to assist!

Several senior students last week were saying "Hotty Toddy" as they toured the campus of the Ole Miss in Oxford, MS. Students received information about scholarships, degree programs, financial aid, student activities, and how to apply. They also were fed lunch. #olemiss #weareAC
Mattie Mynatt was recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for being named DAR Student of the Year. This honor is one voted on by her peers for being dependable, friendly, supportive, and active in community and school. Mattie is an excellent example of all these criteria!
Mattie serves in officer positions in Beta Club and FFA. She is also a member of FBLA, Community Connection Mentors, and the Academic Team. She has been a part of three team state championships, one in volleyball and two in women's track where she has receive numerous individual medals including gold last year. Mattie plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi after graduation.

Congratulations to Aubree Justice for being honored as Rotary Club Student of the Month for November!
Aubree is an excellent student. She participates in several college course through the dual enrollment program with Northeast Mississippi Community College and excels in her course at Alcorn Central. She is a multi-sport state champion having won championships in both cross country and track. We are proud of Aubree and look forward to cheering her on as she continues to pursue her goals in education and beyond!
