BMF finished August with a week of fun! Instructor, Skylar Mincey lined up a week focusing on life skills with some hands on learning and exciting guest speakers. Monday, students completed the FAB LIFE Budgeting Simulator. Eyes were opened!! Tuesday, students learned the importance of signing a signature, and practiced their own. Wednesday, Career Coach, Taylor Johnson spoke to students on Email Etiquette. Finally, Jessie Perriman presented on the importance of Appearance in the workplace. ACTC instructors are teaching our students the importance of putting their best foot forward in the classroom, workplace, and the community!










ACTC is looking forward to hosting all ASD students, families, & staff, industry, business, and community members to see how we are preparing our students with the skills needed to be college and career ready! Come join the fun with light refreshments, door prizes, and chances to win tickets to the county fair! Great things are happening at ACTC!

Engineering II had the opportunity today to listen to Ms. Lynsey Robertson , Factory Manager at Caterpillar - Prentiss facility, speak to them regarding capstone projects! She had lots of great information and insight to help them succeed in the future! Thanks Lynsey so much! You were fabulous!



Alcorn School District Teacher of the Year, Mr. Ben Knight, visited with the Ed Prep students today. He shared his journey becoming a teacher and also encouraged students to follow their passion whatever that may be.




Special thank you to BMF guest speaker, Beth Price! Mrs. Price gave students tips and pointers on ways to excel in the workforce. She is an excellent example of professionalism!

Engineering II is off to a great start! These future engineers were given one roll of tape and 30 sheets of paper and tasked with seeing which group could create a paper tower that would hold the most weight. What an impressive group!
