Yesterday, ACTC said goodbye and good luck to one of of our special friends and coworkers, Ray Williams. Ray has brought nothing but joy, kindness, smiles, laughter, and friendship during his time at ACTC. We like to call him our "Ray of Sunshine". He is such a hard worker, and we know he will be successful in his next endeavor. He is easy to love and celebrate, but hard to see go. We sure will miss his bright light and singing every day! Special thank you to our talented instructors, Mr. Jesse Potts with Industrial Maintenance, Mr. Rodney Fagan with Ag Power, and Mr. Tim Bradley with Construction for creating a special gift for Ray. Talent and teamwork!

BMF Students had a fun day of learning outside the classroom, yesterday! First stop, the students visited the Alliance where Karen Isbell & Alliance President, GT McCullough shared an overview of the Alliance and the importance it has for businesses, industries, and the community of Corinth. Next, students visited the Corinth Coke Museum where they enjoyed Coke floats and listened to the interesting history of the Corinth Coca-Cola plant Mr. Kenneth Williams. Then, students were placed in groups where they explored downtown Corinth businesses, interviewed entrepreneurs and business owners, and completed a scavenger hunt. They ended their industry visit with lunch, ice cream, and coffee in the Soco District. Special thank you to Career Coach, Rebecca Lewis and Mrs. Mincey for their hard work to organize this fun and special day!

Ed Prep Instructor, Mrs. Nan Nethery had the privilege of reading to former student, Destiny Ozbirn's, classroom for Dr. Seuss Week. ACTC is always proud to see these full circle moments and the lasting impact our instructors leave on their students and their careers. "I had the honor of reading to my former Teacher Academy student, Destiny L. Ozbirn’s, classroom at Saltillo Primary School. Talk about coming full circle - I watched Destiny blossom into this amazing teacher. I am so very proud of her and count it a blessing having been apart in her life’s journey. I loved every minute of my visit with Destiny and her students." -Nan Nethery, Ed Prep Instructor

Collaboration at ACTC! After lessons on different cuts of beef, Ag Natural Students were able to take it to the next level! Students were able to learn about food prep & food safety. Their new skills were put to the test as we were able to help prepare for an upcoming community event. Shoutout to Culinary Arts Instructor, Mrs. Tara Lauderdale for assisting, giving her expertise, and allowing us to use some of her kitchen space.
