Alli Grace Dupree, a senior at Kossuth High School, was selected to represent the Alcorn School District as the October Rotary Student of the Month. She is the seventeen-year-old daughter of Ron and Barbara Dupree and is set to graduate with honors in May.
During her time at Kossuth, Alli Grace has excelled in all facets of school, both academic and extra-curricular. Currently ranked first of 110 students, she has maintained a 4.0 GPA and has an ACT score of 30. She has been a member of several clubs and associations such as Student Government Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Math and Science Club, Spanish Club, and the KHS Quiz Bowl Team. Alli Grace has been member of Future Business Leaders of America all throughout high school; her Sophomore year, she and her team placed first in Introduction to Business Presentation and went on to compete at the national level in Baltimore, Maryland. This year, Alli Grace was chosen as FBLA Sweetheart. Alli Grace also served as president of her class for the duration of her Freshman and Sophomore years. Additionally, Alli Grace has shot on the KHS archery team and was a member of the charter team in 2018. She is a third-year member of the National Honor Society and second-year member of the Mentoring program.
Not only has Alli Grace been successful at Kossuth High School, but she also has made outstanding accomplishments outside of school. She has been a member of service clubs such as Junior Leadership Alcorn and Crown Club. She attends Wheeler Grove Baptist Church and is an active member of the youth group. There at Wheeler Grove, she has assisted and taught classes at Vacation Bible School, played a part in Judgement House, organized several trunks for the trunk-or-treat, and assisted in holiday decorating on the decoration committee. Additionally, Alli Grace has a great love for music; she sings at church in both the youth and adult choirs and is a ninth-year piano student. For the past three years, she has sung at Shiloh National Cemetery’s Memorial Day Program.
Alli Grace is currently dual enrolled at Northeast Mississippi Community College and plans to attend the University of Mississippi in the fall of 2020. There, she plans to follow the pre-medical pathway, obtain a bachelor’s degree, attend medical school, and pursue a career in surgical oncology.
