Congratulations to Chesne Joyner, a senior at Kossuth High School, who has recently signed with the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus to play golf. She is the first female golfer from Alcorn County to sign with a college, let alone a four-year university. She has been on the KHS golf team since the seventh grade. Since then, she has lead the girl's team to two consecutive district championships. Other achievements of her's include receiving the MVP Award, making the Red Bay Invitational All-Tournament Team, and being a Class II Medalist.
She was also recently selected to receive the Heisman High School Scholarship Award.
