The former 2019 state champions Kossuth Aggies and Lady Aggies are your 2020 Class 1 North Regional Champions. The win yesterday completed four in a row for both the boys and the girls. Both teams were the #1 seed heading into the baker rounds. The Aggies had a total pin fall of 2493, while the Lady Aggies finished with 2405 - over 300 pins ahead of their closest opponent. In the baker rounds, both teams defeated the Myrtle Hawks and Lady Hawks 3-0 in the best of five. There were some individual accomplishments for the bowlers as well. Aggies Danny Jones (2nd), Hank Gardner (4th), and Holden Cummings (5th) earned a spot on the Top 5 All-Regional team. For the Lady Aggies, Sally Kate Gardner took the top spot, with Maddie Mask (2nd), Lauren Trantham (4th), and Lynley Woodruff (5th), representing four of the top five All-Regional team. The Aggies also sported their #TeamBlue bracelets in honor of Coach Daniel Threadgill.
The next step for our Aggies is the Class 1 State Championship, to be held on Friday February 14, at Metro 24 Lanes in Jackson, MS.
