On Thursday, February 6, Kossuth High School FBLA members competed in the Northern District Conference, held at Northeast Mississippi Community College. Eight of the eleven competitors qualified to move on to state contest in April.
Among those was our very own FBLA State President, Destiny Ozbirn, placing first in the Future Business Leader Competition. FBL is a test that compiles every test objective from all other competitive events. Destiny also had to submit a resume and cover letter for this competition, as well as an interview and a portfolio.
Also placing first was Noah Walsh, competing in Cyber Security. Cameron Griffin placed second in Economics, while JT Cox finished third in Political Science. Other winners included Auston Staton placing fourth in Entrepreneurship, Allysa Byram - fifth in Introduction to Financial Math. Several other members will compete in "state only" events as well. Congratulations to all our FBLA members!
