On Saturday, February 29, the Kossuth Aggies played Hamilton in Hatley, MS, Coach Daniel Threadgill's home town. Before the game began, Hatley's Coach Jamie Edwards, along with his players, presented Coach Threadgill with gift of a piece of the old blue wall at Hatley Baseball Field. The plaque read, "Presented to Daniel Threadgill, from your Hatley Baseball Family. #TeamBlue." Hatley's baseball bases were also painted blue.
The Kossuth community, as well as so many others, have truly come together in help and support during Coach Threadgill's journey as he battles stage four colon cancer. On Saturday, March 14, friends in the Kossuth Community will host a benefit for "Blue," complete with fish or chicken plates, and a live auction beginning at 4PM. All proceeds will go to Daniel Threadgill and his family for medical expenses.
