The Lady Aggie Basketball team departed yesterday on their way compete in the Class 3A semifinals. Two games stand between the Lady Aggies and their second state championship. On the road, Coach Angie Malone shared some of her thoughts: "We are excited, yet we know we are heading down here for business. We are on a mission to win.”
The Lady Aggies have competed fiercely against their opponents this season, and earned many feats in the process, including Alcorn County Champions. In the first round of playoffs, Zoe Essary scored 22 points while Sarah Seals scored 7 assisting the win of 67-43 against Aberdeen. The Lady Aggies then advanced forward defeating Independence, 53-38, as Bailey Holt and Kaitlyn Bonds scored 22 points altogether and Katlelyn Bumpas made a pair of rejuvenating 3-pointers. The Lady Aggies defeatded Amory in the finals with a score of 59-47. The girls will be facing with Crystal Springs today at 10:30AM. Good luck Lady Aggies!
